The calendars, holiday dates, downloadable files and written guidance on this site are provided for general information and convenience only. While we take real care to be accurate, we do not warrant that any of it is correct, complete or current, and we accept no liability for any error, omission or inaccuracy, whether it arises unintentionally or otherwise. You should independently verify any date or information before acting on it.

Holiday and date information

Public holidays are set by governments and they change. Legislation is amended, one-off national holidays are declared, substitute days are moved, and regional holidays differ between states, provinces, cantons and federal states within the same country — sometimes between neighbouring towns. Dates on this site are calculated from published rules, which is a robust approach, but a rule that has been changed by law after we recorded it will produce a confidently wrong answer. Religious observances that follow lunar or liturgical calendars may also be observed on different days by different communities.

For this reason, you must independently confirm any date with an official source before using it for anything that carries consequences. That includes, without limitation: booking or cancelling travel; scheduling court, legal or immigration deadlines; calculating interest, notice periods or limitation periods; payroll, invoicing and statutory holiday pay; medical or examination appointments; and school, childcare or shift arrangements. Official government publications are the authority; this website is not.

Files you download

PDF and spreadsheet files are generated automatically from the same underlying data and inherit the same limitations. Printed output also depends on your own printer, drivers, paper size and browser settings, which we cannot control — always check a preview before printing in quantity.

Your own content

Notes you type are stored in your browser unless you create an account. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, switching device or changing browser will remove notes that were never saved to an account. We cannot recover them, because we never had them. If your notes matter, create a free account and keep your own backup of anything critical.

We do not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption or free from errors, and we may change or withdraw any feature at any time. Where we link to other websites, we do so for convenience; we have no control over their content, accuracy or practices and accept no responsibility for them.
